GLAD TO HAVE NO CHOICE
We were born, and mandatedly have to live this life because in the law of man and God where I live in, suicide is a sin. Well, this is not a suicide entry, I just want to cite a truth that no one in this world decided that they will be born. It's no one's choice. The idealists might argue that it's God's plan. Yeah right. Let's use logic and science first, are we good with that? Thanks.
In a life that I did not chose, or even the situations I have no control to, I'm just glad that it gave me wonderful people wherein I'd say the almost-cliché line "I won't have it any other way".
These are the people, that perhaps, in this time, are my favorite and had the chance to spend my birthday week with me.

Maybe we were all forsaken in terms of the choice to live, or not to, but whoever controls our lives surely knows how to even the odds.
Luckily, we have the choice to whom we share our lives to, and gladly, I had mine sharing it with these great people. In these times and with these people, I can boldly say that I'm glad didn't have the choice to live.

Hundred Degrees in Max
Remember but don't thrive
Treat it as a puzzle piece and not as the whole board
Make it an inspiration and it may never distract you
Befriend your ghosts and they will never haunt you
Reconcile with yesterday so that tomorrow will be a good today

The Cogitation Egress
Memory, as i believe it to be, is a vital cognitive ability of the human mind to store and remember symbols, experiences, pictures(visual images) etc. for the brain to use it to its other cognitive functions. It's like a hard drive in a computer set, but the difference is that, when a brain is full of experiences and thoughts, one doesn't have a spare brain for back-up and retrieval for future use, and with that, I thank the people who introduced blogging to the world.
For 4 years now, blogging has been my way of expressing myself to the world by means of writing. It became an emotional outlet and my personal journal. The Five Pointed Perspective, with its tag line "see life in a star-shaped point-of-view", has became my chronicler in the past mentioned years.
This is the web, this is the world having a preview on what I really think and what am I going through, why not give my readers if not a good article, a good brand image for my blog.
The name was derived from my fascination with stars, just to clarify, it is the shape, not the celestial body, and my desire to incorporate it in my blog. After I've conceptualized The Five Pointed Perspective, logic follows that I shall post an entry that explains the header of my blog. In many attempts to do so, I frequently fail.
But inside my mind, I want to theme my posts in a five pointed perspective way, which again, I failed to do because of the lack of time and inspiration. So there it was, my blog became my online journal, with my header not suited to it.
Receny, I had this near-payday-Saturday(meaning I am stucked at the couch and thinking what to do) when I decided to make things congruent with my blog title and entry posts.
The idea is of the title is just simple, it is me saying "Hey, this is my online journal and thoughts;before I forget them, let me share it you". So instead of changing the name into "The Idea/Experience Journal" which is, I guess, is too lame, I thought of the 2 primordial words of the working title: thought and journal.
With the help of my digital dictionary application in my phone, I've searched for more intelligent synonyms of the abovementioned terms. After a few swipes and type, these two terms appear exciting: Cogitation which means a thought, and Egress which means exit.
Thought Exit in its simplest term, yes, this blog is now The Cogitation Egress, because my mind can't bear it all.

2013: THE WRAP-UP
At the start of this year, I became so optimistic that it
will be better than the year before it, simply because it’s the year of the
Snake. Yes, I believe in such astrological predictions (haha). Kidding aside,
this year has been good to me, probably better than its predecessor. With that
being written, I present to you the items which I’ll be wrapping-up and will
now fill its rightful position to my priced memory room.
1.
This Can’t Knock Me Out (TKO: Grand Sales Rally)
Target: Kmock-Out Crew and Bosses :) |
-
As an Events officer, TKO: Grand Sales Rally was
my first major event. It was an annual sales motivational party in the company
I’ve worked for. It aims to set target sales quota, present last year’s sales
performance and motivate sales personnel to do better or should I say, sell
better, for this year. The event was grace by more than a 100 of sales person
from different provinces covered by the company. This was my first proof to the
company that I can co-handle such an event as big as this.
2.
Largest of ‘Em All (Hanjin Village Grand
Inauguration)
Picture Collage of the Event (photo credit to Fiesta Communities Inc. at pinterest.com) |
-
Only two months after TKO, another big event was
being cooked. It is the inauguration of a partnership project of my previous
company and a foreign company. Since the partnership is large by itself, it is
quite deserving of a grand celebration that was graced by the 2nd
most powerful man in my country which is the Philippine Vice President, Hon.
Jejomar Binay. The coordination as I remember was 70% more strenuous than TKO.
The guests, home owners, and the performers totaled to approximately 700, yes,
my largest attendees in an event I co-coordinated. The event was successful and
our team was even given an incentive for its success. To date, I consider as
the largest and most beautiful feather in my cap.
3.
Conquering the Party Paradise (Summer 2013)
Saturdays at Boracay :) |
-
My country boasts coastlines which has plenty of
beautiful beaches, and undoubtedly, Boracay islands from the Central
Philippines is the most popular. April this year, I got to visit and spend a
vacation in the party paradise that I introduced in the beginning of this
entry. Much more with being with my friends and having a vacation, I got to try
a lots of things for the first time like: traveling via plane, parasailing (my
favorite), driving an all-terrain vehicle, helmet diving(very enthralling),
watching in a beach concert feat. An international artist (Jay Sean), and
Flying Fish riding. The experience was really a blast and I can’t wait to
another adventure like this in the coming years.
4.
24 on the 24th (Birthday 2013)
My Office Birthday Surprise :) |
-
Of course, this is a regular entry. Leveled with
Christmas Eve, this is my favorite day of the year. The day when greetings
swarmed over my social networking accounts and spending quality time with
people I dear most. One thing significant happened on this day, and that will be
saved for spilling in my next entry.
5.
Career Shift (from Events Coordination and
Public Relations to Television Productions, again)
Opening Billboard shoot with my colleagues in my new job :) |
-
Yes, I’m so back in the television production
world! My birthday for this year was also the last day working for a land developing
company as Events and Public Relations Officer. Fortunately, a cable TV network,
which is just 2-blocks away from home, posted a job vacancy which I applied. Luckily
I was hired and got the proper compensation deal that my previous company
didn’t reward me to have. New work place, new people, and new experiences came
my way in my stay in my company so far. The company though was not as promising
as the previous, but geared with the proper determination, dedication, and hard
work, the company will soon prosper. Having been said that, I’m excited to
contribute in the growth of the company in the coming year.

figures in my wrist. Since it’s my year according to Chinese astrology, I opted to plot within the year a possibly
forever mark in my life, and that is to be inked. The explanation will be
featured with my upcoming posts.
